Closed Starting Points

These starting points are much more restricted than the very open and moderately open starting points. They are availabe as closed briefs in which the nature of the product to be design is specified and in most cases the user of the product is also suggested.

There are still plenty of opportunities for pupils to make a wide range of design decisions but the teacher will need to make every effort to ensure engagement and motivation for those pupils who might not find such starting points appealing.
